Tealson Herrlin, an 18-year-old from Upper Milford Township, has died following a tragic early-morning crash on Interstate 78 in Lehigh County.
Authorities say the accident occurred around 5:11 a.m. on March 12, 2026, in the westbound lanes near mile marker 54.1 in Lower Macungie Township. Herrlin was driving a gray 2005 Ford Mustang when the vehicle struck a traffic sign, veered off the roadway, and came to rest in a ditch.
Emergency responders transported him to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has confirmed his identity and stated that an autopsy will determine the exact cause and manner of death. The crash remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, along with local officials.
Herrlin’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community in mourning, as many remember him as a young life lost far too soon. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
